What you need to send in Ideas Phase I
Each entry must be submitted as both design boards and digital files: The names of entrants will be kept unknown to the jurors until the finalists are chosen.
Design boards
An entry requires two (2) 24"x32" LANDSCAPE (24" side vertical, 32" side horizontal) presentation quality images mounted on rigid foam boards. The entry registration number must be shown in the lower right hand corner of each design board in 72 point plain text that is clearly legible.
To assure anonymity, entrants must affix to the back of each board a sealed, opaque envelope with no exterior markings, but with the following information clearly printed on a separate card inside:
Primary entrant or firm name
Names of team members
Contact email
Address
Phone
Suggested layout (see Site description and opportunities for details)
The first board must contain the project description (250 words or fewer) in 16 point minimum text within the bottom 4" of the board. The text should ideally begin in the lower left hand corner. This design board must include a site plan of the BCA Plaza @ 1/16" = 1'-0", and the BCA block plan at a minimum scale of 1/50" = 1'-0". The BCA block plan should be located in the lower right hand corner of the board. This board may include any additional images, sketches, renderings, photographs of models, or maps necessary to explain the proposal.
For full site information and documentation please go to Downloads, resources and links for plans, elevations, and images in various digital formats.
The second board must contain one ground level perspective sketch of the Plaza area that is at least 16" x 16" in size. This board may include any additional images, sketches, renderings, photographs of models, or maps necessary to explain the proposal including views of the sidewalk, entry markers, and Artists' Courtyard.

Digital files
In addition to physical boards, entrants are required to submit digital files for inclusion in the online exhibition.
Entrants are required to submit

- One 100 x 100 pixel JPEG file, 72 dpi, 20K maximum size (image detail of your choice from either full size jpeg for online thumbnail)
- One Microsoft Word document (.doc) file containing the same project description text (250 words or fewer) as the first board
All files must be in LANDSCAPE format (long side horizontal, short side vertical). All files must be named with your registration number, followed by an underscore and A, B, thumb, or text. For example, the files for registrant 0000 would be called:
