Rights / ownership

The Boston Center for the Arts will retain ownership rights to all materials submitted by the entrants. Uses of the material by the BCA may include, but are not limited to promotional use and exhibition of parts or whole of submitted materials. By submitting materials for the competition all entrants are granting the BCA rights and privileges to publish or authorize other parties to publish all materials submitted by the entrants at any point. Entrants will receive credit by name in all circumstances. Entrants are required to credit the BCA in the use of all materials and ideas as submitted for the competition.

While the inside::out competition will identify a single winning proposal that can be implemented, no guarantee of project implementation can be made at this time. The proposal and winning team will be thoroughly reviewed for professional qualifications, feasibility, federal, state and city regulatory compliance, city agency and community review standards, and fund-raising capacity, before contract negotiations for professional design services can proceed.

Submissions will not be returned. Entrants other than selected Finalists wishing to retrieve design boards from the BCA may do so in person only after the Initial Entries Exhibition, between 10am June 26, 2006 and 5pm June 30, 2006.
